Gerard Conneely’s photography are great examples of how a camera lens can affect an image. Not only does greater focal length blur the background more, but it also captures the face naturally. In the 15mm focal length the face looks stretched, opposed to the 85mm or 200mm. The 18-55mm is a most commonly known as the standard lens because it is considered very versatile. However a 55-200mm lens can capture a more focused subject as seen above. This image demonstrates the different focal lengths and the effects they have on photographs.
